GMapFood Support

Everything you need to get the most out of GMapFood, and how to reach us when something isn't working.

Quick start

  1. Install GMapFood from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Open any restaurant on Google Maps.
  3. Open its photo gallery — GMapFood re-sorts the photos by upload date, newest first.
  4. Use the sort modes and the dish filter to find exactly what you want.

Send feedback or report a bug

Have a bug, a feature idea, or a question? Send it straight to us with the form below — no email app needed. You can also use the “✉ Feedback” button in the GMapFood panel while you're on Google Maps.

To help us reproduce a bug, include what you expected vs. what happened, the restaurant's Google Maps URL if relevant, and your browser and version (e.g. Chrome 126).

Privacy & data

GMapFood works with anonymous, derived metadata only — it never downloads your photos and never collects anything that identifies you. Contribution to the shared date-sorted index is on by default and can be turned off any time in Settings. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get started?

Install GMapFood, open any restaurant on Google Maps, then open its photos. The panel re-sorts the photos by upload date automatically — newest first.

The photos are not re-sorting — what do I do?

Make sure you opened the restaurant’s photo gallery (not just the place page), then use "Load all" so GMapFood can see the full set. Reloading the Google Maps tab also helps after installing.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Use the “✉ Feedback” button in the GMapFood panel on Google Maps, or the feedback form on this page. Tell us what you expected, what happened, and the restaurant URL if relevant.

What data does GMapFood collect?

Only anonymous, derived photo metadata — never images and never anything that identifies you. You can opt out any time in Settings. See the Privacy Policy for the full details.
